Dear world
I confess... I lied.. and it's here to haunt me!
Well, don't take it so seriously. It's just here to bug me. And it wasn't that big of a lie anyway. But before you say anything.. I know.. a lie is a lie.. no matter how big or small.
Anyway, here's how the story happened.
Date: December 2010
Event: Helping organize and arts and crafts bazaar
Relationship Status: In between dating a guy... he disappeared in some random events that ended in a conversation of whether or not we should talk to each other.
What happened was, I got involved helping a friend organize this event, and I ended up in a task which I hated; call the artists! Pretty much all my friends know how much I hate phone calls but I ended up doing that task anyway. My friend was overloaded. Point being, I call this artist, really nice guy. So nice, that we ended up chatting for over an hour. So nice, that I google the hell out of him the moment we hang up.. not just google.. google, facebook, youtube and myspace (yes.. myspace should have been an indication this is not gonna end well). And bam! The moment I saw his face I was like "no chemistry what-so-ever". Anyway, you get the point.
So, the next day, artist dude calls and asks for help with something, knowing the nice person that I am, I said, sure, I'll be in Zamalek keda keda I can help you out. We meet, I help out, we spend a good hour doing that errand and chatting. Really nice guy but not in a romantic sense khales. Then... he asks me out for dinner, I'm flattered and all, but, you know... it's never "friends" when it starts with dinner, I don't feel like leading anyone on. I say, opps, sorry, I have dinner plans with my friends, he said, he'd like to meet my friends. I said fine , that would be cool, while I secretly send a SOS sms to my two friends updating them. So in a group of 5-6 people, everyone got the general idea except the guy who arrived late, who actually though dude was my date and kinda said and did all the wrong things including exchange phone numbers. Anyway, night went ok, least possible casualties, I thought as I don't show any emotion sooner or later, the infatuation is gonna die without any need for confrontation. Sadly, I was wrong.
This is part one of the story.. a part 2 follows soon :)
