Adventures of a slightly overweight girl hoping to be thin

Or in other words ; zeww goes on a diet.

(1) Prelude
Once upon a time, long long ago, zeww used to be thin and beautiful. Well, she did always have some *minor* weight issues, but those were mostly controlled. Then about 6 months ago, an evil witch got so jealous and casted a spell on her. Ever since, zeww has been gaining weight and her usual weight control methods stopped working. So, under so much pressure, mostly from her mum, zeww considered to go visit a diet-ition.

(2) Preparation
As you know, in any story, once the protagonist *me*, start considering an end goal, they usually find some companion to accompany them on their journey. So, in my case, Meyo decided, she may as well join the journey and loose a couple of kilos. The next event is usually a conflict of interest, one wants to go east, the other wants to go west. In this case, Meyo wanted to look for someone in Mohandeseen and I wanted Heliopolise, but we sorted that out. Then naturally, once one attempts a journey, all the forces of nature conspire against them. We started making our calls, asking people for recommendation. And we settled on two dietitions that sounded promising, then we called one's office and guess what, the first appointment in in 15 days! If I waited 15 days , I'd probably give up the going on a diet idea anyone. We called the second guy, and first appointment is in 10 days! I was thinking, if it worked this way in my field, life would be different. Imagine a company calling me for a website, and I'd say, well, come see me in a year. It's the same ratio, you book a dietition appointment to sit with them for 20 mins, you need to book 15 days in advance. So naturally, to build a website takes 3-6 months, we should ask clients to plan a year or two ahead, no?

(3) Getting there
Anyway, I remembered there was a Dr. I went to about 6 years ago. Dr. Azza. So I called in , and got an appointment yesterday. I went to her clinic which didn't change much from 6 years ago. Though now, she has this fancy machine which calculates everything about your body (BMI, muscle mass, fat percentage...etc). This machine showed me very interesting results, including that , in the machine's opinion, I'm only 0.7KG overweight. Nice machine, we like! Anyway, we agreed on some ground rules for the next few weeks then she gave me my first 7-day diet.

(4) Diet 1
Diet 1 was fairly easy to do, you get all sorts of food, just grilled instead of friend, and in tiny portions. Did the diet, and to my disappointment I only lost 1.5 Kg. Well, I know what you're going to say.. 1.5 KG isnt bad ya yasmine. But it is.. (as Marline Monro would have said it)
think of all the great foods I missed,
think of all the chocolates that I haven't eaten,
think of the great desserts,
pastas and pizzas too.
You get the point. So anyway, I made it point to take a more difficult diet for the next few days.

(5) Diet 2
That was hell of a diet. A chemical 9 days diet that depends on eating only one group of foods for a day. And if you know me at all, you can imagine what hell the "Vegetable only" day would be like. Got an idea? Now multiply that by 3, as the diet repeats for 3 days each! But I challenged myself, if (and only if) I manage to stick to that, then I can do anything. And just in case, I'll take another spare diet as a backup. Well people, I did it. I continued for 9 days and lost 3Kgs. Bravo Zeww. And I tell you, in that diet, you do understand how attached you are to your carbs.

When Love Died

Yes, love died, about a year ago. No body knows exactly when, but it was sometimes early September or late August. Can you imagine something as big as love dying and no one noticing? Well, people did notice, in a way or another, but rather they couldn't possibly imagine that love , could in fact, die!
