I want to write a bit about the color beige.
To give you an idea which color of beige I'm talking about; I need to rule out some colors:
-I'm not talking about the pink-ish beige.. that's bois du rose
- not yellow-ish beige.. that's camel or ochre
-nor white-ish beige.. that's off-white or cafe au lait
- not the glittery beige either.. that's champagne
I'm talking about the pure color of beige, similar to sand only lighter, and has equal amounts of pink, yellow and white.
Beige is such a neutral color, no personality of its own, so it can always blend in with any other color and you never see beige alone.
In clothes, beige is the perfect color to tone down excessively bright colors like red, electric blue and leaf green. You can also use beige to look peaceful and angelic, adding white or cafe au lait. Also, adding beige to black, grey, or brown will give a touch of subtle elegance.
I have never seen a lady who actually looks good in a beige hijab; in my opinion, no matter what the color of a woman's skin is.. beige is just so unflattering.
Beige in make-up is another story altogether. Women would wear beige to highlight their most beautiful feature; beige eye shadow can show her unique eye color and define her brows. Beige can also conceal the insignificant little details that annoy many women; like puffy under-eyes, or freckles. Beige lipstick would give the "I'm proud of my lips, but I don't want to over show it" effect. However, wearing all the make-up in beige will give the pale ghost effect, which no one is proud of.
We hardly see any billboards in beige, no logos in beige either. That's because it's such an insignificant color that never sticks in the memory. I doubt that there are many sports teams that wear beige, same reason, not so significant.
Take any example, you'd find that beige, is there, but just not quite recognizable.
Well, the reason I'm talking about beige, is because, when I was younger, I felt I was beige. People loved me once I'm there, but I left no significance memory once I'm gone. And I swore, I'd never be beige. I love the color, don't get me wrong. But I decided, I want to be a bright significant color, however controversial, but a color that is recognizable and memorable; like turquoise, violet or even red. However , I'm proud to say that I have one beige quality that I'm very proud of, beige is one of the very few colors that can hold different colors together!

For me you're striking "Red", and you don't only have the qualities of beige in mixing many colors but of "White" because it mixes all Rainbow colors :)
Amazing post ya Zeww...
